此一研究模式由三个部分所组成：第一部分，以开放式纸笔问卷与座谈会的二种方式，搜集同仁对本校教育之目标、哲学理念、与通识教育内容分配的意见；第二部分，将第一部分搜集之资料予以汇整分类，再以封闭式纸笔问卷与座谈会的二种方式分析统合；第三部分，规划与编写本校之通识教育课程（专指正式课程而言）。
