笔者从党员教师先进性要求的内涵及现状分析着手，提出保持高校党员先进性的对策：(1)持之以恒地开展党性教育，提高党员教师的思想政治素质；(2)努力营造校园环境，提高党员教师的政治荣誉感和责任感；(3)健全考核机制，为保持党员个体先进性提供制度保障；(4)实施党员形象工程，创新党员保持先进性的载体；(5)启动自我教育、自我管理和自我监督标杆，增强党员教师自律意识。
